Liquid Agency, a brand experience agency, is looking for a FREELANCE  Compensation Communications Project Manager for a 12 month engagement. This is a remote position with the ability to travel 50% and ability to work Central Standard Time  (must be based in the US). 

This Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of our clients internal compensation communications working embedded within the clients compensation team. The Project Manager will work closely with compensation business leads, segment communication partners, legal and Liquid Agency.

The ideal candidate will have agency experience working internal communications programs from startups to substantial corporations. Someone who is comfortable being client-facing, eager to learn and has a strategic mindset.

What you’ll do

Provide leadership and proactive management for all compensation communication projects, with the ability to adapt leadership style to a variety of situations while motivating and empowering the team to do its best work

Own the scope of communication deliverables and establish a global view of the entire workflow for projects (start to finish) with input from business leads and Liquid Agency

Work with Liquid Agency to determine deliverables, resources and timing for projects ensuring the approach supports the needs of the business

Proactively manages projects, identifying roadblocks, providing strategic solutions and critical thinking to problem-solving and ensuring schedules are updated and the project team is aligned on approach

Attends internal client meetings and key Liquid Agency meetings to understand the core inputs and outputs needed to deliver effective and timely compensation communications

Attends weekly client/Liquid Agency status meetings and ensures expectations of client responsibilities are being met to keep projects on time and on budget


What you bring:

5+ years of project management leading internal communications programs from startups to substantial corporations

Experience working with agencies and other external partners.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate and present with all levels of team members

Proven ability to develop cross-enterprise and external relationships and interact successfully and collaboratively with people at all levels of an organization (internally and externally)

Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple project

Has managed enterprise-level communication programs

Strong initiative and follow-through skills

Collaborative, curious, confident and empathetic, and able to build trusted team and partner relationships

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Ability to travel up to 50%

Ability to work central standard time

Knowledge of Jira, Page Proof, MS Office
